Financial Assistance for Mammograms

Newman Regional Health is committed to providing exceptional services to ALL patients in our community. Newman Regional Health works with many partner organizations throughout the community to reduce financial and other barriers that may prevent our patients from receiving the care they need.

Through the generosity of many individuals, foundations and programs, the W.S. & E.C. Jones Breast Care Center at Newman Regional Health has funds to help patients receive their exams.

However, before you apply for financial assistance at the breast center, please contact your insurance provider to determine coverage levels for your mammogram. Qualification for a health insurance program will not bar you from participating in our financial assistance program. Our program may cover the deductible or coinsurance, if eligible, and may cover charges of participants not eligible for insurance.

If you think you might be eligible for financial assistance, please fill out the Financial Aid Application and return it to the Newman Regional Health Foundation, along with any supporting documents, at least 48 hours prior to your appointment. Please note that the entire application must be filled out. An incomplete application will result in the delay of eligibility.

If you have questions or have difficulty completing the application, please call 620-343-6800 extension 1153, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. to speak with a Financial Counselor. Interpretive services are also available for non-English speaking patients.

Please mail your application to
Newman Regional Health Foundation
1201 West 12th Avenue
Emporia, Kansas 66801

In any circumstance, please do not delay your mammogram because you are concerned about payment.
