The Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC) at Newman Regional Health is a vital partnership between our community and hospital, dedicated to enhancing the patient and family experience. By joining the PFAC, you’ll collaborate with healthcare leaders to improve care quality, communication, and accessibility at our clinically capable hospital. Your voice can make a lasting difference in the health and well-being of Lyon County and beyond.
What Does the PFAC Do?
The PFAC works to:
- Enhance Patient Experience: Provide feedback on hospital services, from check-in processes to discharge planning.
- Improve Communication: Ensure clear, compassionate interactions between staff and patients.
- Shape Hospital Policies: Influence decisions on care delivery, facility improvements, and community outreach.
- Promote Accessibility: Advocate for services that meet the diverse needs of Lyon County residents.
Who Can Join the PFAC?
We welcome:
- Patients who have received care at Newman Regional Health.
- Family members or caregivers of patients.
Commitment:
- Attend quarterly meetings (in-person, approximately 2 hours each).
- Serve a one-year term.
- Share insights based on your experiences and collaborate on solutions.
- No prior healthcare experience required—just a desire to make a difference!
