Newman Regional Health Auxiliary Donates Diapers for Annual Service Project

This year’s Annual Service Project for the Newman Regional Health Auxiliary resulted in two local nonprofits receiving over 3,000 diapers from donations collected through the hospital.
The money raised was able to provide 33 cases, or over 3,100 diapers, which were gifted to the Salvation Army and Kansas Children’s Service League. Carolyn Hossfeld, Auxiliary President, said of this year’s project, “Linda Polson deserves the credit for really making sure that this project went smoothly. Linda did all the leg work to get this organized. Our Auxiliary wants to thank those hospital staff, visitors, and volunteers who donated to our yearly service project which will benefit members of our community.”
Bev Long, Program Development Manager of the Kansas Children’s Service League, thanked the Auxiliary for their generosity. “This is such a wonderful and timely gift. We currently serve 60 families in our Healthy Families home visitation program. Many of our families run out of diapers and have to choose between paying a bill and buying diapers. These diapers will help fill that gap for our families.”
