Newman Regional Health Earns ACHC Reaccreditation, Reinforcing Excellence in Quality, Safety, and Patient-Centered Care 

(EMPORIA, KS) — Newman Regional Health is proud to announce it has earned reaccreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC)—a nationally recognized leader in evaluating healthcare organizations for quality, safety, and performance excellence. This reaccreditation affirms Newman Regional Health’s sustained commitment to delivering exceptional, compassionate care to the patients and communities it serves. 

Accreditation is a process through which healthcare organizations demonstrate compliance with national standards. Accreditation by ACHC reflects an organization’s dedication and commitment to meeting standards that facilitate a higher level of performance and patient care. Newman Regional Health met the highest standards across clinical operations, patient safety, compliance, and organizational leadership. This achievement reflects the dedication of every team member—from frontline caregivers to support staff—who ensure that patients receive the best care close to home.

Chief Nursing Officer Heather Aylward emphasized the importance of teamwork and clinical excellence, “ACHC reaccreditation validates the exceptional work of our nurses and clinical teams. It symbolizes the consistent excellence I witness every day in our patient care areas—skilled, compassionate, and deeply committed to the people of Emporia and our surrounding communities.” 

Newman Regional Health CEO Cathy Pimple celebrated the accomplishment as a milestone representing both pride and progress.

The Newman Regional Health Board of Trustees also celebrated the achievement. Caron Daugherty, Chair of the Quality & Compliance Committee, expressed gratitude for the hospital’s unwavering commitment to improvement. 
 
“As a Board, we recognize the tremendous work required to maintain such high standards. This reaccreditation demonstrates the integrity, diligence, and excellence of the entire NRH team. ACHC reaccreditation is valid for three years and positions Newman Regional Health to continue advancing quality and safety initiatives while delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care in the region.
