Mammograms
Newman Regional Health is proud to offer state-of-the-art breast cancer screening with 3D mammograms in the W.S. & E.C. Jones Breast Care Center.
Women over the age of 40 years are recommended to have an annual mammogram to screen for breast cancer.
A mammogram is a specialized x-ray of breast tissue, which is used to detect changes that may indicate cancer or other conditions. Unlike standard x-rays, the equipment is designed specifically for breast tissue and uses lower doses of radiation.
Mammograms are an essential part of caring for your health. Screening and early detection of breast cancer is crucial for improving survival rates.
