Jonathan Bates, MD

After completing undergraduate work at Oklahoma Christian University, Dr. Bates completed his medical education at the University of Kansas, during which he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He then completed a combined residency in both internal medicine and pediatrics at Prisma Health – Upstate in Greenville, South Carolina.

Dr. Bates grew up in rural Southeast Kansas. He went to medical school knowing that he wanted to return to rural Kansas to be a primary care physician for children and adults.

He desires to develop relationships with his patients over time as he works alongside them to help them achieve their highest potential for health.

Dr. Bates and his wife have two daughters. They enjoy spending time outside, traveling, and exploring local sites.
