Dyllan Landry, MD, is a board-certified general surgeon with a robust background in trauma care, laparoscopic and robotic surgery, and a deep commitment to patient-centered care. Originally from Louisiana, Dr. Landry has spent much of his life in Kansas, where he has built a distinguished career in medicine.

Early Life and Education

Born in Louisiana, Dr. Landry moved to Kansas, where he completed his high school education in southeast Kansas. He pursued his undergraduate studies at the University of Louisiana – Lafayette from 2008 to 2010, majoring in Chemistry. He later transferred to Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry in May 2012.

Dr. Landry continued his academic journey at the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita, where he earned his Medical Doctorate (M.D.) in May 2017. His passion for surgical care led him to remain at the same institution for his General Surgery Residency Program, which he completed from July 2017 to June 2022.

Professional Career

Following his residency, Dr. Landry spent three years practicing at a busy trauma center in Northwest Arkansas, where he honed his skills in trauma surgery and laparoscopic procedures, and robotic surgery.

Personal Life and Philosophy

In 2025, Dr. Landry and his family returned to Kansas, where he joined Newman Regional Health. His move was driven by a desire to foster stronger connections with his patients and the local community, reflecting his patient-first philosophy.

Dr. Landry is married to a dedicated nurse who has recently worked in the Emergency Department at Rock Regional in Derby, Kansas. She is also in the early stages of pursuing her pilot’s license, showcasing her ambition and drive. Together, they have six children, forming a vibrant and busy household. Dr. Landry’s return to Kansas signifies not only a professional homecoming but also a personal one, as he and his family are excited to reconnect with the state they call home. Dr. Landry is driven by a commitment to improving patient outcomes through direct involvement in care and building meaningful relationships with the community he serves.
