(Emporia, KS) — Newman Regional Health has announced that OrthoKansas has joined the Newman Regional Health Medical Partners Orthopedics & Sports Medicine clinic to provide Lyon County and surrounding area residents a new choice when it comes to their orthopedic care.
“Beginning January 6, 2020, Dr. James Huston, a native of Kansas, graduate of the University of Kansas School of Medicine program, and a member of the OrthoKansas orthopedic practice in Lawrence, KS will begin seeing patients every Monday in the Newman Regional Health Medical Partners Orthopedics & Sports Medicine clinic in Emporia,” said Bob Wright, CEO at Newman Regional Health. “Dr. Huston is a respected and highly trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacements and revisions and other general orthopedic and sports medicine conditions.” Helena Stormont, APRN, Lindsay Garrett, PA, Andrew Kneib, PA, and Ryan LaSota, MD will continue to be available Monday through Friday to assist patients with non-surgical
orthopedic and sports medicine care.

Each Monday, Dr. Huston will be the primary orthopedic physician in the clinic. He will see patients for general office visits and to evaluate the need for surgery. Other OrthoKansas physicians will also be available on Fridays, rotating though the Emporia location to provide a range of orthopedic specialties including, but not limited to, foot, ankle, hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder care.
