There are many ways to donate. Whichever you choose, know that each and every gift makes a difference!
General Donations
General donations go to the areas of greatest need, whether it's purchasing state-of-the-art medical equipment, educational programs, general funds, or other areas. Gifts may be made in tribute to others. Commemorating birthdays, graduations, anniversaries or the birth of a child are a meaningful way to show appreciation to a caregiver or doctor who provided excellent care during a hospital visit.
Legacy Gifts
A thoughtful gift through a will or estate plan can provide a lasting legacy and important tax benefits for the donor, in addition to supporting Newman Regional Health's programs.
Corporate Sponsorships
Businesses or organizations can underwrite events and projects that further their brand and Newman Regional Health’s mission – including our largest charity event, Denim & Diamonds. Corporate and foundation sponsorships allow Newman Regional Health to achieve project and event outcomes while recognizing funding partners that make the work possible. Designated Gifts
Designated gifts are used for specific purposes. With a designated gift, you may donate directly to the specific causes or programs that you care about the most:
Breast Care Screening Fund
No one should delay a mammogram due to the inability to pay. This fund assists patients with no insurance and/or who are ineligible for Early Detection Works funding. Residents of Lyon, Coffey, Chase, Morris, Osage, or Greenwood counties are eligible.
Denim & Diamonds Operating Fund
This fund helps cover the operating expenses of Denim & Diamonds, our largest fundraising event of the year. Denim & Diamonds raises money for a unique purpose each year that will most benefit patients.
Deserving Children & Indigent Care Endowment
The Williams (Deserving Children) & GW Newman (Indigent Care Endowment) assists patients with no insurance coverage or the inability to pay. Your donations allow area residents to receive treatment without the fear of finances.
Hand in Hand Hospice Fund
A gift to the Hand In Hand Hospice Fund is an act of kindness that is used to help cover the cost of hospice care for patients, bereavement support for families, and professional development for hospice caretakers.
June Bug Cancer Fund
Named in honor of patient June Monnard Sauder, aka “June Bug”, this fund is used to help ease the financial burden of local cancer patients by helping pay expenses including home, transportation, lodging, food, and medical equipment.
Scholarship Funds
Numerous scholarship funds provide financial assistance to students pursuing their education in healthcare who are from Lyon, Chase, Greenwood, Osage, Morris, or Coffey counties.
Volunteers Fund
You'll find Newman Regional Health Volunteers working at entrances, managing the Gift Shoppe, flower sales, snack bar, and more. Your donation helps them continue with their scholarship program and patient experience improvements.
Community Programs
Support our popular community programs and events, including the Teddy Bear Clinic, Community Baby Shower, Becoming A Mom Prenatal Class, Diabetes Education, and more.

The Emporia Community Foundation secures, manages and disburses funds to benefit Newman Regional Health and is committed to leveraging philanthropic support to improve the health and wellness of east-central Kansas residents.
Checks may be mailed to the Emporia Community Foundation at 527 Commercial St., Suite B, Emporia, KS 66801. Please specify Newman Regional Health Fund, or one of the designated funds above, as the recipient of you gift.
