In addition to offering scholarships and forgivable loan programs, we also help connect students with other financial aid resources to make pursuing a healthcare career more accessible and affordable.

Kansas Nursing Service Scholarship

Working with the Kansas Board of Regents Newman Regional Health has agreed to be a sponsoring facility to help offset tuition for nursing students seeking either LPN or RN degrees in return for a work-service commitment to work at Newman Regional Health either in the medical surgical unit, intensive care unit, clinical decision unit, or an available position at time of graduation.

Newman Regional Health Forgivable Loan for ESU nursing students

Current nursing students enrolled in an accredited nursing program at Emporia State University can apply and receive a pre-graduation forgivable loan in exchange for a work commitment at Newman Regional Health.

Newman Regional Health Forgivable Loan for FHTC nursing students

Current nursing students enrolled in an accredited nursing program at Flint Hills Technical College can apply and receive a pre-graduation forgivable loan in exchange for a work commitment at Newman Regional Health.

Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program

This program helps nurses reduce their educational loan debt in exchange for a two-year commitment working at an eligible healthcare facility with a critical shortage of nurses, or serving as nurse faculty in eligible schools of nursing.

The Newman Regional Health Volunteers’ Healthcare Scholarship Program

The purpose of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to students pursuing their education in healthcare.  Areas may include but are not limited to, pharmacy, biology, chemistry, nursing, respiratory therapy, physical and occupational therapy, nutrition, and other non-clinical healthcare fields. Applicants must have graduated from a high school in one of the following counties: Lyon, Chase, Greenwood, Osage, Morris, or Coffey County.
