Accepting new patients
Amy LeMay, APRN-C grew up in Moline, Kansas, and moved to Emporia in 2001 to attend nursing school at Emporia State University. She quickly fell in love with the community and graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2005. She began her nursing career at Newman Regional Health (NRH) and later transitioned to the ER/Trauma Department at Stormont Vail Health, where she discovered her passion for advanced practice nursing.
Determined to further her career, she returned to school at Washburn University and earned her Master of Science in Nursing, becoming a certified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in 2010. She began practicing as an APRN in the ER at Stormont Vail but soon returned to Emporia, where she played a key role in helping NRH launch Express Care. Eventually, she transitioned into primary care, a field she has grown to love deeply.
She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner and provides care to patients of all ages—from infants to older adults. Her clinical expertise includes a wide range of office procedures such as sutures and staples, incision and drainage, nail trephination and removal, IUD and Nexplanon insertion/removal, lesion biopsy and removal, wart treatment, joint injections, and cyst and bursitis drainage/injections.
In addition to procedural care, she offers comprehensive primary care services including wellness exams, treatment for acute illnesses, and chronic disease management for conditions such as hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, thyroid disorders, asthma, COPD, depression, and anxiety. She is also DOT certified and performs Department of Transportation examinations.
She is passionate about building meaningful connections with her patients and earning their trust to provide the best possible care.
