Patients who experience acute or chronic non-healing wounds can receive convenient and comprehensive outpatient treatment at Newman Regional Wound Care Clinic.

Nationally, approximately 7 million people suffer from wounds that will not heal – a serious problem that can lead to amputation of limbs and dramatically impaired quality of life. Associated with inadequate circulation, poorly functioning veins, and immobility, non-healing wounds occur most frequently in the elderly and people with diabetes.

Are you a candidate?

If you suffer from a chronic or non-healing wound, speak with your physician about whether you might benefit from a referral to Newman Regional Wound Care Center. If you are a candidate, our wound clinic will work with you and your provider to develop an individualized, comprehensive plan of care that provides you the most appropriate and effective treatment for your particular needs.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is a medical treatment which enhances the body’s natural healing process by inhalation of 100% oxygen in a total body chamber, where atmospheric pressure is increased and controlled. HBOT promotes muscle, bone repair, and nerve regeneration by stimulating angiogenesis. It is used for a wide variety of treatments usually as a part of an overall medical care plan.  Having a chamber in Emporia greatly benefits those patients who qualify for treatment. HBOT treatments are recommended five days a week, last up to 90 minutes and usually require 20-25 treatments.
