The Express Care and the Emergency Department should be used for patients needing to be seen by a provider. These should not be used as COVID-19 testing sites.
To schedule a COVID-19 Test
COVID-19 Tests ordered by your provider
If you are sick and are under the care of a provider, they may order a COVID-19 test and will either direct you to a location in the facility to receive your test or conduct the test during your appointment, depending upon the circumstances and symptoms.
Pre-operative COVID-19 Tests
Depending upon the circumstances, and timing of your procedure, you may be required to be tested for COVID-19. The provider’s staff will work with you to secure the testing appointment prior to the day of the procedure
Emergency Room Testing
If you are suffering from a health-related emergency, the Emergency Department may perform a COVID-19 test as part of your treatment. The staff does not perform on-demand COVID-19 tests.
Express Care Testing
If you are sick or injured and visit Express Care, you will only be tested for COVID-19 if the provider orders the test as part of the diagnostic process.
On-Demand Testing
Newman Regional Health offers COVID-19 tests to asymptomatic individuals on an appointment basis. Currently, testing is available in Express Care from 10:00AM to 11:00AM Monday through Friday.
Travel Testing
Newman Regional Health offers COVID-19 tests for domestic travel on an appointment basis. Call (620) 343-6801, Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM, one week prior to travel. An upfront payment of $143.20 is required. The lab will contact you within 72 hours of your United States departure flight.
Your results will be available on the My health Info portal within 6 hours of testing. Paper copies are available upon request.
Newman Regional Health is not responsible for testing requirements if international travel.
