Biography
Dr. Alana Longwell has been practicing medicine at Newman Regional Health since 2011.
Dr. Longwell works as a Hospitalist at Newman Regional Health with a focus on internal medicine, an area of primary care for adults. Dr. Longwell specializes in diagnosing and treating cross-system illnesses that may affect multiple organ systems. When necessary, Dr. Longwell can also refer patients to specialist physicians when medically needed.
Dr. Longwell, in her role as Hospitalist, works with inpatients at the hospital to assist in the continuation of treatment for patients. She works with your primary care provider to provide excellent care.
She is also the Medical Director of the Inpatient Medical Rehabilitation unit.
I’ve been seeing Dr. Longwell for over a year. She is attentive and listens to what I have to say about symptoms or issues that pertain to my visit. She also is through and has always prescribed the correct prescription to alleviate the problem. The nurse and staff are friendly and compassionate. I highly recommend.
