Visitors and Visiting Hours We have adopted the following visiting guidelines to promote the best interest of all our patients. GENERAL VISITING HOURS  2:00 pm - 4:00 pm 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm Children Children under the age of 12 are allowed to visit general hospital areas under the following conditions:  Age 7 to 12 years - Must be accompanied by an adult. Age 6 years and under - Visit must be prearranged.  May visit family member only. ALL visitors please... If you have a cold, sore throat or other communicable illness, do not visit patients. Only two visitors at a time.  Visits should be limited to 15 minutes. Do not leave children unattended in lobby areas. Smoking is not allowed anywhere in the hospital or on hospital property. SPECIALITY AREA GUIDELINES Pediatrics The general visiting hours listed above are observed.  Twenty-four hour support from a parent or guardian is encouraged.  Please limit the number of adults staying overnight to one.  Since pediatric patients are often contagious, we encourage only adults to visit these patients.  If child visitation is deemed necessary, arrangements can be made with the charge nurse.  Intensive Care Unit Open visiting hours are at the discretion of the nurse.  Immediate family members or significant others can feel free to come at any time to check on and spend time with the patient.  Women’s Life Center Open visiting hours are at the mother’s discretion for visitors over the age of 12.  For those under 12 years of age, visitation is limited to brothers and sisters of the new baby.
