This program is a class presented to prepare you for child birth. Subjects covered include physical changes during pregnancy, fetal growth and development, healthy diet and exercise, labor and delivery options, breathing and relaxation techniques, hospital stay, newborn care, and a tour of the Women’s Life Center at Newman Regional Health. Classes are offered the second Saturday of the month from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm in January, March, May, July, September, and November in the Emporia State University School of Nursing Frances Stout Auditorium at 12th and Chestnut. We encourage expectant mothers to enroll in prenatal classes early in your pregnancy by calling the Women’s Life Center at 620-343-6800, extension 4497. Prenatal classes are offered for a minimal fee of $10.00.
