| Did you know a bicycle helmet can reduce your risk of serious head injury by 85%? In March, 1997, Newman Regional Health started a bicycle helmet safety program, in association with ESU Newman Division of Nursing and the Kansas Safe Kids Coalition,which allows us to offer low-cost helmets to the community. Helmets are purchased at factory cost from Bell Sports. These CPSC certified helmets sell for $7.50 and are available in a variety of colors and sizes ranging from small toddler to large adult. They are available in the Marketing and Education Department on second floor of the hospital, Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.
