You can make a difference! By funding health and wellness services at Newman Regional Health, you are investing in the health and wellness of your neighbors throughout the Flint Hills region. Consider making a sustaining gift $25 through your credit card.
Your business or organization can underwrite events, projects or initiatives that further your brand and NRH’s mission. Corporate and foundation sponsorships allow us to achieve project and event outcomes while recognizing funding partners that make our work possible.
Celebrate. Honor. Remember. Your thoughtfulness helps us continue our vision of providing top-rated health and wellness services to our neighbors in east-central Kansas while celebrating those who shine brightly in your life.
Memorial and Honor Gifts are a wonderful way to remember, recognize, and honor someone's life while also helping the hospital. Gifts may be made to commemorate special events such as birthdays, graduations, anniversaries or the birth of a child and are the perfect way to show appreciation to a hospital caregiver or doctor who provided excellent care during a hospital visit.
Thoughtful gift planning can provide important benefits to the donor and to Newman Regional Health. A gift to Newman Regional Health Foundation through a will, life insurance, 401K/403B, or other estate plan provides you and/or your beneficiaries with significant tax benefits and advances the health and wellness programs offered by Newman Regional Health.
The corporate name of the Foundation is “Newman Hospital Regional Health Foundation”. Donors who wish to make a planned gift should so designate the corporate name as the beneficiary.
Interested in making a gift of grain or livestock?
Donors who include the Foundation in an estate plan may be enrolled as members of The Newman Society at their discretion or may choose to join but remain anonymous.
This information is offered for educational purposes only. Newman Regional Health Foundation does provide tax or legal advice. Prospective donors should consult their tax and legal advisors to determine whether the information presented here is appropriate to their tax situation.
Making a gift of grain or livestock
- When an agricultural producer transfers legal ownership of the commodity to a 501(c)(3) charitable organization such as the Newman Regional Health Foundation before it is sold, the producer may minimize taxes since the producer will not incur income from the sale.
- The producer may be able to benefit from greater tax savings than if they had sold the commodity and then donated a portion of the proceeds.
- Tax savings may be realized on federal income tax, state income tax, and employment tax, depending on the producer’s specific circumstances.
- Producers should check with their tax advisor to determine whether a contribution of commodities is appropriate to their tax situation.
- You must provide written documentation to the Newman Regional Health Foundation and the grain elevator of the transfer of title of the commodity. Please see the appropriate informational brochure, Gift of Grain or Gift of Livestock.
- The Newman Regional Health Foundation must be in control of the sale commodity.

THE NEWMAN SOCIETY
Individuals who provide for the Foundation through an estate plan, trust agreement, or other form of gift planning will be honored as members of The Newman Society. Benefactors may decline membership or may choose to be listed as “Anonymous”. The Newman Society is named for Mr. George Newman, a local businessman who contributed $50,000 through a bequest to substantially fund the construction of what is today Newman Regional Health. The Hospital opened in 1922.
Donors who wish to make a substantial gift to benefit a particular program, service, or lasting initiative of the Hospital may elect to establish a named fund. A minimum gift of $25,000 is required, which may be paid over a period of five years. The funds may be contributed by way of an individual gift, estate gift, corporate gift, foundation grant, or an aggregate of funds given for this purpose. An initial gift of $5,000 is required to initiate the formation of the fund. Please contact Newman Regional Health Foundation Director Michael Perigo at (620) 343-6800 extension 1921 or email@example.com for more information.
